I’m Seeing Spots

Recently

…I hosted an event at my home. Close to the date of the event I began to clean in preparation for the coming guests. I quickly realized that my house was far dirtier than I had originally imagined. Funny how I did not notice that until I started cleaning.
…I tried on one of my favorite Spring outfits to find that it did not fit. Frustrated and bewildered I raced to find something else that was clean and wrinkle free to wear in the five minutes I had left to get ready. When did this size not fit me?
…I heard myself saying something that did not reflect who I want to be. As I thought about the statement, I wakened to the fact that it had become part of my common phrases of late. Huh! When and why did I think that was a good idea?
… I noticed my child having a desperate need in a particular area. I wondered how long has it taken me to notice it.
Blind Spots
Emotionally and Spiritually
They seem to grow the more they are left unchecked. The strange thing is that it happens quickly and cripples your ability to live the full and abundant life you were meant to have. But, when the light shines on the dark places, you can clean house or rather let the Lord. When He gets done with the blind spots of your life you will see clearly and walk correctly. You will no longer be encumbered by tripping and falling so much, but will walk strong. You will live the fulfilling and satisfying life that He means you to live.
I hope you will allow the Lord to shine the light of His Word on your blind spots too. May you grow in the grace of knowing He loves you where you are but too much to leave you there.
Growing in grace,
Jen

"May you grow in the grace of knowing He loves you where you are but too much to leave you there."

Oh, how I love that and NEED that.

I can get very down about my blind spots, wondering why I can't get it together to see them sooner (or at all). Thanks for reminding me that His vision is perfect!

Jen – that is so well said!!! You put into words my very thoughts today. I have been on a spring cleaning frenzy and this morning I heard he Lord whisper to my heart "When will you sit still enough to hear what's on my heart to share with your heart?". Gosh!!! Reading your post today I hear His whispers loud and clear! I recon He has a little more "inside" spring cleaning to do in me!!! Love you lots. Janine

    Jen:
Great message on "blind spots". The Lord has been revealing some of my "blind spots" too. Thanks to you I now have a "catchy" name for it. It truly speaks to exactly what it is. Thank you for sharing. Keep allowing God to use you as vessel to minister to others.

For whatever reason, technical difficulties have occurred and the precious comments ya'll have left on this post and the many previous ones were erased….so I am sorry that I cannot respond to the comments left earlier on Monday. My brain cannot even remember how many responses there were.

Your comments are precious to us and we are glad you stopped by. A couple of people checked in after the big erase…

    Maria,

What a great encourager you are. Glad to see I'm not the only one seeing spots.

    Rebecca,

It IS good to know that we will not be left behind!

    Blessings,
    Jen
